It can fry things if the proper precautions aren't taken. I weld on the back bumper of my service truck all the time but I do always unhook computers, alt's, and batteries when welding on a machine. Spacers aren't a very good idea if you a r en pulling much. Dad had a set of duals pass him on the interstate somewhere in Colorado while hauling 5 horses in a six horse trailer with living quarters. LOL he must have been typing while i was. I had no idea ther was such a pan and though he was talking about trying to weld in a bung or something. This is a great idea and may be a possible upgrade for me as well- 1466IH

If all you want to do is drain a little pull a trans cooler line off and start the truck and let it pump into a clean bucket(in case you take out too much you can pour some back in lol) and let it pump out until you think you have removed enough but i think you may have more issues than being...- 1466IH

Tranny Drain?
How often do you actually drain the trans fluid to justify a drain. I was told unless your trans filter has been changed on a regular basis from day one not to mess with it because changing the filter will do more harm than good- 1466IH

That is kind of what i was getting at earlier. Ford had there own thing and will not sell the components to make or repair connectors that is why you can find all kinds of stuff for gm because they used the standard weatherpac connectors but no one can get a hold of the ford stuff- 1466IH
