You are doing from a mechanical diesel to a computer controlled diesel. You will need the PCM and all of the wiring for the new motor that can be taken form the donor truck. You will have to integrate this wiring into the '93 truck. Good luck. Many here have done it.

You should start a new thread. People will give more responses most likely.

If it idles fine and dies as you give it throttle, I would suspect fuel filter first.

My swap from a 94 IDIT to a 94 PSD sucked. Thread on here about it.

Pretty sure he just modifies your harness. Idioit has one.

Having both trucks, should not be bad. Just literally swap everything. Lol

I had both trucks. It was literally everything. Right down to the damn windshield wiper motor. Every single harness was different as I suspected going from a mechanical engine and electric transmission to an electric controlled engine and standard transmission.

It still sucked.

I couldn't remember if you had both full trucks or not.
I believe some of the firewall pass through are different sizes/shapes as well.

Sounds about right.

If the truck is a keeper, I'd sooner do a 12v cummins swap.... which I almost did, but it was easier to just drive the whole darn Dodge than make more work for myself. Oh well.

its a nice swap with both trucks same vintage 150,000 on a 7.3 powerstroke is just break in mileage;)

if you are swapping to auto, just use the entire dash harness and change the pedals while you have the dash out on the bench. I did this swap but from a 5.8 E4OD to a 7.3 powerstroke E4OD in a 96 F350 crewcab 4x4 . it is a big job but its all plug and play. you have all the pieces you will need unless you want to stay 5spd manual, then you will need the 5spd 7.3 powerstroke brains.

you will be impressed with the power increase and should get equal or slightly better mileage, until you decide to program it:Q or decide to haul more because of the increased power:rock:

good luck with the swap don't use a "C" word in your Ford pickup......... 6 cylinder diesels belong in highway tractors;Poke
