Trying to replace driver side valve cover gasket. Cover is butting up against a hose. Could someone please identity what this hose is? Trying to remove it safely. Thank you

That is an ac hose. Its under probably 150 lbs of pressure too. Next time posting please tell us you are working on a van. That way many more can help you. Also welcome to the forum.

You may need to get someone to help you with that. You should be able to get that hose to flex enough to remove the valve cover.

Thanks for the responses!

Icanfixall: The condenser has been removed so I'm guessing there is now longer pressure being supplied to that hose.

IDIBronco: Ya...hose is a bit stiff, was worried about forcing it. Now that I know its AC related I may force it. Would like to just unplug or something ,instead of forcing, if possible.

There is a connection right there underneath the master cylinder. It's the round part of the line.
