In bed transfer tank hookup

I will be ordering my WMO centrifuge this week and I want to be able to carry extra fuel for longer trips. I have a old 100 gallon tank off of a white cabover that I can use for a in bed transfer tank. What is the best was to hook it up??

If you want it to transfer into the front tank for example, then I think places like Northern Tool, Tractor Supply, etc should have kits that Tee into the fill pipe.(check valves, valves etc.)
Otherwise, the tank in the bed is a lot higher than the stock tank and it might push fuel out the fill neck.
Make sure the tank is pretty secure, because of law enforcement people & saftey. If the wrong DOT officer would see it, I'm sure they could find something worth a ticket.(Or if you have a topper then no problem.) I'm sure someone else will remember what I'm missing.

To OP: As Brad mentioned, I'd suggest avoiding the gravity fed system. It's illegal. You can pick up a 8gpm (not that fast, but still not bad) Transfer Pump (12v) for $135 via Amazon which includes the hose, filler handle, and all the goodies needed. Just weld in a 2" bung and you are good to go.

So its best just to have the tank as a holding tank and just pump it into the oem fuel tank? That would be easy.

Ive got mine gravity fed into the return line for the front tank at the moment. Illegal yea, but I don't really care. DOT isn't gonna stop a '77 Ford on the highway, and with it hidden they probably wouldn't even know where to look.

Your right there, but you also never know when you'll get in a wreck. And if you have a big tank like mine, and it spewed all over the road you can be darn sure they're going to investigate that issue.

I used a similar tank on my 94.5 and it had a reg electric pump....just hooked it up to my battery and was ready to rock.

I preferred it over the gravity feed (like directly into the stock fuel tank) because the pump also had a filter....and that was just one more filtering to get crap out of my fuel.
