just was tracking down An antifreeze leak, looks to be between the front cover and the block.
if it is leaking external, can it be leaking internal?
looks likw the motor is coming out.:backoff:backoff

Nick, you sure it isn't comming from the t/stat cover?

You got the eng out allready?....remove the small cover {similiar to the IDI} and remove the HPOP drive gear nut--17 mm if I recall--

nope I wish it was just the t stat housing, remover the ac bracket and under pressure I seen the leak at the seam
erngine not out yet, almost, all thats holding it is 1 wire and the mounts
Im pulling all the stuff I can while its in the frame almost had a hpop rail plug beat me (mental note do not use impact it will rounds the square)
gonna pull the fuel bowl and the hpop next, then change the rear main seal, then if I have time maybe pull it, if not it will have to wait till tomorrow.

part that really sucks is I dont have a newer cover , this is the old 94 style one.
but at least it isnt wore on the lpop

ready to reinstall.
pulled the front cover and the rubber gasket was like plastic, no signs of an internal leak.
took more time cleaning everything than rebolting everything.

nice new oil pan, water pump tstat, waterneck, lpop, oil cooler gaskets rear main seal, harmonic seal hpop fittings , etc.
only 2 things I couldnt get was the oil pickup tube , and a ford lower hose

all 4 hpop rail plugs replace last one tried to get me, pia trying to break loos with the engine on the hoist, when it brake free, top of my head found the end of the hoist arm.

no pictures cant have the secret mods out in the open to bee seen:D
nope this is the green truck, seems like it got lots more attention lately than the CC, but the again the CC was all fixed when I got it so hopefully there are no issues with it. CC would be easier to reinstall, with the lift. maybe ill pull that motor for the turbo swap..

lpop = low pressure oil pump

Nick I feel so bad about bailing on you today. I worked until noon yesterday, then came home and basically slept until this morning. Still feel like crap. Hope all went well.

Russ no problem.
the flu sucks keep it there with ya.
got the motor back in, slid right in alot easier than I thought it would.
only issue was a upside down motor mount, and a starter wire that endedup under one.
all that is left is batteries, bumper and fluids.
and hope they all stay in place where they belong.
