My adapter was $600...
You got a good deal.

I seriously considered the swap, but by the time I got the engine I wanted (06/07 CR 5.9), rebuilt it and bought the adapters, I was looking at $12K.

My neighbor did a 12 valve conversion (VE pump, out of a school bus) in his 1999 F250 5.4. He kept the transmission (manual) that was already on it, shoehorned the whole thing in, strapped in a divorced NP205, fabbed new driveshafts, etc etc... It's a unique truck for sure.
He's a handy dude, fabbed it all in his garage.

No issues with the headgaskets just the bottom end breaking rods on the dyno, also didnt have any valve imprints when we took it apart.
This was in response to the post that said that I was giving false information by saying that all needed to add a turbo is the studs. It was saying that if you run over 15 psi and don't decpompess your pistons .010", you'll blow head gaskets when towing heavy when it's hot and burn up glow plugs. If anyone on here could say that stuff is not at all true, I knew that it's you.
Hey Daniel, your turbo IDI just got A WHOLE LOT cheaper again!

You can do ALOT more for the same money if you aren't in $5k on adapters.

Agreed.

This is why affordable Fummins swaps use a dodge donor, and you use everything possible from the dodge to avoid adapters.

I plan on using either an eaton fuller rto6610 or rtoo14613 so adapter cost would be the same for each
