@notenuftime , good looking Ford , you have the visor above the windshield that I've been looking for ,
Good setup to have out there , how many times you cycle the plugs in the winter ?

my next question was going to be how you keep your underbelly for the salt that's on the road. I'm from socal so I don't know what cold is or driving in the snow lol.

I cycle only once unless its like -10, also run anti-gel also plug in any time i can.
My truck came from Virginia was a old charter boat truck so the PA salt bath didn't get to it at the beginning of its life. It's why i undercoat twice a year. Also after i coat the truck i take a drive on a dirt road, all the dust sticks to the frame and acts as a barrier. Being able to pull in a garage during the winter is a huge plus also to melt away the compacted snow.

Slicknik I read those posts already, He said what material he used to undercoat it, but not what tool or method to apply it on there, (like some type of paint sprayer?) It's the tool I'm interested in.

@jericho My bad your rt, I would go get a c-list paint sprayer to do the job , I'm going to take it a step further and use POR 15 to coat the under belly of my idi and then his method and maybe even add salt away as well

notenuftime, Your undercoat looks nice, what do you use to spray or apply that on with?
I just use a paint gun I got from harbor freight. The trick is to do the undercoat on a warm day, I sit my oil in the sun before using it so it's nice and thin. The mixture of oil, gear oil and linseed oil works great as long as its warm.
