waistgate?

so ive been pondering some mods. turning up the turbo to 11 psi and turnin up the injector 2 flats. but ive been noticing guys saying there turbos are non waistgated.. any one have details? if its worth it without harmin the motor id be interested.

i have a wastegated factory turbo that i plugged the wastegate on. no harm done, highest psi i reach is ~14. was simple, just plugged the hose that runs to the actuator with a bolt and clamp.
