Looking to upgrade the turbo on my 97. I heard something about a turbo off a Volvo?? I'm going for baby swamps and intercooler also head studs and turbo back exhaust.

D66.
Or just a super ***** turbo with a wicked wheel.
Stocker would be fine also. Could throw on a quick spool housing and upgrade the wheel.

No they aren't. Lol
The factory turbo is good for some pretty big power.
Personally I want to swap to the waste gated super duty turbo.
With stock injectors, no tune, sd wheel in my turbo, it almost barks. I can't upload it here. But I would say I'm definitely building more boost.
You can also delete the ebpv to help, and of course swap the down pipe.

The one I saw was 1200 bucks. I was planning on spending that on baby swamps. Deff plan on doing turbo back exhaust. With stacks. Head studs and turbo plus intercooler.

You can studs if you want, which I plan to eventually, but you definitely don't need them with baby swamps.
I can for sure hear a difference from deleting the ebpv. Factory DP to dual 4" stacks.

Don't you have the garrett 38. Stick a wicked wheel on it and get 40 lbs boost.

Your probably thinking about the H2E turbo, which is off of a 10+liter medium duty engine (could have come in a Volvo chassis).

The problem with the 7.3 is that the turbo's flow backwards of what is normal, hence not very many drop in turbo's (wheels only flow one direction).
