can an injector sound more when the engine get warm?

Mine did. Engine would not make ticking noise until engine was completely warmed up. Took me forever to figure out it was an injector making that noise. Somewhat unusual for an injector to do that IMO. Took truck to 3 shops and they were all stumped. They all thought it was an internal engine noise and wanted to tear it apart. Came close to taking engine out and digging into it when my bro helped me find the prob.
So you don't hear the noise coming from any of the rockers when engine is running?

i dint se any thing wrong with the rockers when i changed the lifters and poshrods!
today i was att the shop with the oem injectors for rebuilt. mabe its get better!
i bougth mine injector new from pensacola diesel and when they arrived they was in an market plastic bags. if it was new delfi injectors i think it should be marked pakage?

Sometimes ticks can came from injector pump off time little bit. I had mine ticking to moved the injector pump started to sound better and no more ticking. I still need to get my correctly in time but been way to busy to do so

You can also try filling a fresh fuel filter with seafoam or atf, let run for a minute than shutoff, letting sit overnight. Then run it hard the next day. Always worth a try.

today it sounded on cold start and smothed out when warm. i think its ticking less when i hit the gaspedal and engine had to work hard

I would try running a fuel additive and see if that helps

I listened to mine it's does the same thing just little in cold cold mornings after it warmed up to 180 went away

It is a diesel truck therefore it is a throttle pedal

It can have a slight rough idle but smooth out when you accelerate.
