ticking noise!

Hi...now i have found the noise cylinder 5 intake valve. Raely worn. Looking on heads rebuilt.

240000km on the engine. How long should ring last??

If it has been looked after rings shoukd be ok..240k in kilometers isnt much 130K miles +- these go for upwards of 300k miles if looked after.

Pull heads do both and be done.

Good point. Do both heads while its apart. Rings should be fine like Al said. Engine is still young for a diesels lifespan. If your concerned about it, dump in a treatment of Auto-RX. That will free up any sticking piston rings & clean up your engine.
If funds allow, ARP head studs wouldn't be a bad idea too

vell my funds are low right now. the truck has eating it up! now pump new inj lifters and now heads[emoji849] can i use the old head bults
