1989 Ford E350 Club wagon
7.3 L IDI 4x4 W/OD
Dana 60 Leaf F/E
I've been hunting for this vehicle for a long time. About 10 years. Finally found one.
It's unknown who performed the conversion but it looks pretty good.
When I got it, the leaf springs in front were mismatched and one of them was broken.
Currently the cyl #8 (by firing order) has a 7mm long piece of glowplug in it from my enthusiasm and impatience. Trying different things to get that situation resolved.
Just picked up a pair of leaf springs to replace the originals, those are going in this weekend or so.
Short term goal is restore leafs, glowplug system, upgrade bumpers, seating and lighting. have rear pilots and axle caps turned down to fit GM wheels (using hummer h2 wheels)
Longterm goal is to perform frame-off restore, replace most of the interior parts with interior from period ambulance (love that red), replace floor with rubber, replace body with a barndoor - haven't decided if I am going extended body yet. I go back and forth about that every day.
Have an HID kit en route, looking at a G3 alternator upgrade and have a bead on bumpers and grillguard from an e450 riot van.
Undecided -
Extended body or regular
Raised top or regular
