Making progress on the WVO tank

I got the tank mounted in the bed, I added some legs to it so I can leave the brackets bolted to the bed and unbolt the tank for easy removal.

WVO Progress

here are the main components of my wvo system, I'm waiting for an additional 3 port selector valve which isnt pictured.

Basically 3/8ths aluminum tubing inside 5/8ths heater hose.

Ball valves to close off the heat incase I need to run diesel in this tank.

All thats left to do is hook up the selector valves, and run switches to them.

The fuel supply line and fuel return line are heated.

Nice. I like that idea. Any plan to heat the tank or just the lines?

no plan to heat the tank yet. When things get so cold that the tank turns to lard I'll play with blending in WMO or something to see if I can get it to flow enough to switch over.

Sounds great. It's nicer in person than the pictures show.

Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice!! Looking forward to seeing how much of a difference it makes ;Sweet

Yeah me too. Probably not until this weekend. I think I'll do the timing spacer first and see what that does for my top end. Then tuck the fuel pin in and see. I'm not expecting much from the pin because I already rotated the stock one. But it does look like this will dump more fuel at full boost. We'll see!

I didn't feel much of a power difference from the timing spacer. But it did seem like it made the upper RPM range more usable. Seems to smoothly sail up from 2500 to 3000 now.

Ran it with just the spacer for a few days, then added the pin. The pin definitely added more power at full boost, I can feel it for sure, and I see 2lbs more max boost without adjusting the boost controller, and higher egts. All that said, I'm sure it would have been more of an eyeopener if I hadn't already rotated the stock pin.
