Noticed an #8 (rear drivers side) injector nut is cracked. Dealer wants $74 so I started looking for a spare engine or parts.
Found a turbo 7.3 idi out of a 95 E350 with 125k complete for $850. It is already pulled and the cutaway is gone.
My question is...
Can I drop it in my 94 short bus?
What are we looking at? 2 days work?
Is the inside engine cover the same?
Is there different heat shields?
If I get it, and don't swap right away, are the injector lines the same?
Thanks for any info.

I am sure.
I saw pictures and talked to the seller (salvage yard). There were issues looking up the vin because it must have been just before the PS started to be used.

I also found a 90' F250xcab 4x4 with a good 7.3 engine and bad trans also for $850 It drives and has good tires. Figure I can part out and scrap the rest.
Does anyone know if the injectors...well engine is all the same as the 7.3 in a 94 E350? I know accessories will be different.

Look at the direction the oil filter points coming off the cooler, it should match.
Fuel filter setup should match as well

Are you talking about the 90 F250 or the turbo engine from the 95?
I guess your saying the filter may hit the exhaust?
I'm not going to be able to check either one until I go to buy it.
