Ya, I think that's the one. Is there any definitive proof of this build? I've heard stories, but all the figures seem to be off. I mean, it can't be making both 1200hp and 2000tq at 6000rpm. At 147lbs of boost at 6000 rpm even at iats or 300 degrees, it should be flowing enough air for around 3000hp, so if it only makes 1200 hp that's pretty gay. The only figure that seems right is 1200hp for 4500lbs ~ 9.something quarter mile.
I have read some cummins build where they had 100+ psi of boost and none of them were around 2000hp.

Wish we could find the builder of that truck!

It is my understanding that Hypermax built that 6.9. Someone...... sometime ago...... here........ called Hypermax and talked to Max himself. IIRC, he said $30,000 and you can have the same 6.9!:eek: Maybe someone should call and see if that is true. I'm not cause I don't want a $30,000 6.9 that will need constant care/repair.:D

Are you talking about the 3000hp shootout in the march diesel power? If so, those guys were only turning 4000rpm with a 5.9. Point taken though, especially with an idi, you don't make near as much power per lb/min of air. The figures still kind of seem off to me.

On another note, if we can make 170hp at 3000rpm with no boost (14.7psia), with twice the fuel and 15psi boost (29.7psia) in theory we should be able to make 340. I know it doesn't exactly work like that because of many variables, but there are people running 20lbs of boost and only making 250hp that's only 80 more than stock. I think one of the reasons people haven't made much power with these is the use of poorly matched parts.

Has anybody else ever looked into a db4 pump? Or even a ds4 pump with a pmd? Maybe mel could get his guy to modify a ds4 for us, although the cost would probably be more than the original moose pump.

There was a guy here who was in school and had said he was going to do it. There was nothing else after him saying he was going to do it as far as I can remember.

How many CC's per 1000 are you looking for? The Super Moose Pump is "available" but no one has bought one yet. It requires Super Moose Mister injectors. Probably should have at least $4000 in your pocket when you're ready.

I forgot about that one. How many cc's are we talking with that one, if you don't mind me asking.

Here are the flow numbers for the Moose family of pumps. These numbers are approximate.

Baby Moose (stock build) 60 CC Per 1000 strokes
Moose Pump (popular hot pump calibration) 90 CC Per 1000 strokes
Super Moose (yes it exists... no one has bought one yet) 120 CC Per 1000 strokes.

Prices remain stable for the Moose Pump family, even though Stanadyne has raised their prices again this year. The range is from around $550 to $675 Typical for a Bably Moose or Moose Pump. The Super Moose, due to extreme machining operations is estimated to be $1600 to $2000. As always, PM me for specific details.

Found it. So, that's 1000 engine strokes?

FYI the common term is 2.2hp for every 1cc/1000 strokes. RWHP that is.

Would need to know how many IP strokes per engine rpm. (Is it direct drive? or am I missing soemthing?)
