I ran dual coil wellmans in my idi without issue. They have been in since 08 and lasted till this winter. I beat the living hell outta them too in the winter running fire calls. The fact they lasted as long as they did is impressive to me.

I don't know that the new ones are made to the same spec but if they were I would not hesitate to buy another set.

Gonna buy a set and check them out. Not in a truck just now, but on my tester, then maybe later in the 92. I'll make a U-tube video when testing.

Edit: Ordered them. $55.94 shipping and OH tax.

To quick with the questions, won't be here until Apr. 3. I don't know why anyone would need an O'ring seal, I'll see. They show a tapered seal.

I gave those plugs a try years back, and had nothing but trouble from them, ended up getting my money back.

The claim is that there a new design with dual elements and heat controlled, that's why I'mm gonna check them out for you guys.

Edit: I'll be sure and put them thru a rigourest testing.

The plugs that I used said that they were "new self limiting dual coil". And when I tested them, they were self regulating (like most glows are), but ended up having 4 burnt out in just a couple months.

The o ring is an internal seal on the shaft. These still have the compression seal made by the taper seat that you can see. I too am wondering why an internal o ring...
