Maybe. I can take my spare idi regulator apart and take pictures with measurements. It's used though. The 6.0 one looks like the spring it's a smaller diameter....
I took apart the spare broken header I had to measure the spring:
1.472" free length
.470" compressed length
0.414" outside diameter
0.041" wire diameter
And a crude, unscientific test using digital calipers and a kitchen scale gave and approximate rate of 10lbs./in
Plugging the measurements into mcmaster-carr came up with the closest being part number 9434K89 which happens to have a rate of 10.5lbs./in.
I ordered a 5 pack of them and will see if they work.
Well i got an email at 5:45PM that they were unable to fine the part requested and they canceled my order. No phone call just an email of cancelation. I looked at the part numbers on the oil cooler i pulled from the 94 and they were the same numbers at the international ones though, not Ford numbers
Edit: You more than likely had the oil pump pickup tube off when overhauling, did you put that back on properly? The oil on the dip stick will look foamy after a run.
Anything I'm missing? Should I just pull the cooler and try replacing the regulator with the one from the broken cooler end?
