I noticed that the Ford 7.3's have a rear oil sump, is it possible to swap the international front oil sump for the ford rear? I have some clearance issues and that would solve it.

Would have to change the oil pickup tube to a rear sump one and relocate the dipstick tube to the rear of the block but other than that no problem. From what I understand the oil pans on these engines was designed to fit either way. There is even a hole in the block on the front and rear for the dipstick tube.
