EGR monitor bypass

Anybody know how to bypass the EGR monitor on a 2004 Jetta 1.9L?

We just set the egr to offroad using the obd sensor and the program on our computer. We decided to do this when we changed the timing belt and found that the intake manifold was alomost completly carboned up. 2 years later and no more carbon!

I just blocked off the exaust manifold and the intake and took the egr cooler out hooked the coolant lines togther on our 99 BUG TDI no carbon in intake runs good !
