e4od problems, computer toast ?

Hello I have been fixing up my truck a bit
1990 f250

Now I changed the glowplugs and it starts and runs great.

I wanted to check the codes on the EEC module and plugged the wire in the correct places.

But I got nothing no reaction at all from the system. I know the engine itself doesn't require a computer to run which begs the question is the computer toast?


Are there other system check I can go though besides throwing parts at it?


Its stuck in first gear, it won't shift up,

The abs light is on and has been on since I got the truck.

If your retreiving the codes with the KOEO method, the throttle pedal has to be held to the floor during the flash out cycle to get the correct codes.
