It's been a while, but I have a question for those of you with auxillary transmissions behind the E4OD. I'm looking at another IDI with the E4OD and 4.10s, being a dually I want to keep the 4.10s, and the auto in it was replaced 3500 miles ago, so I don't really want to do another ZF5 swap yet (the wife also likes autos). But when I'm on the interstate I usually drive 80-85, so my question is, does the transmissions computer get confused when the auxillary shifts gears?

I don't think it will know the difference. The speed sensor is in the rear axle so it will only see the truck going faster
With the Speed Sensor in the axle should be fine.
I dunno much on e4od stuff...
That said I'm going to run this by you for grins and things that make you go Hmmmm
I had a flatfender Willy truck I d.d. 'd it for 15-20 years once upon a time.
Had a nailhead buick with 401#" torque a t90 a t18 t case with a Warn o.d. in it, behind that was a rancho ( study) overdrive, IIrc 4.88:1 axles...
On the highway it would not pull high gear with both o.d.'s in hi...
So I wonder how that infamous trany will hold up searching for lockup with the od in hi.
