dead transfer case

so i blew my transfer case up beating on the truck the other day..j/w if i had to grab one from an idi or just any 3/4 truck? thanx alot-matt

I would assume the transfer case would be the same as long as it's the same model

IE: BorgWarner 1356 from a gasser should be the same as a BorgWarner 1356 from a diesel (just an example)

F150's, F250's and F350's all shared the same transfer cases. Make sure that if yours is a 1356, that you take one off a truck with a 1356 as well. I believe the three models were the BW1345, BW1356 and the NP208.

Look at all three models of truck for a case though. My 1996 F150 had a 1356, which is the same as my 1993 F250.

yup, i have a 1356 of a auto gasser on my zf idi

Just make sure the outputs are the same. Some trucks don't have the slipshaft output that the IDI's have (or at least my idi's have).
