So quickie thought.
Alcohol would be better than acetone as it will also remove any moisture, no?

You tease!!! Lol

I pulled the hoses tonight, I will pull the condenser and evap soon and flush those with some denatured alcohol, and I bought that can you posted for the hoses.

I have the same issue as the guy in the other post. I have the longer hose with the r134A fittings, so I'll clean that up the best I can and hope it holds up.

I might replace the solid line on the passenger side as the dip stick has rubbed it pretty raw

New questions,

What kind of oil and how much.

Can I clean the Compressor, or it is what it is

When I did mine it was 46oz of R134a and 10oz of pag oil.
When I replaced my system last year, the part I used for the passenger side hose (condenser to evaporator/low pressure line) was GPD 4811430.

Don't you wish it was back in storage?

Thanks,

I ordered the Hard line on the passenger side, and a new rubber line the goes from the compressor along to firewall to the Evap. The insulation was dry rotted pretty good, The rubber hose seemed flexible, but hell If I'm gonna be pressured into doing it right, might as well do it right.

Im going to pull the Evap and Condenser on Thursday and clean them to the best of my ability. I know Shawn said he kept his in, But I think I can pull them out fairly easy.

In case you guys don't know it. That Acetone is really ******* your Kidneys, whether breathing it or on the skin, the skin can absorb it. Don't use it for that application, use the denatured alky. Don't drink the alky, not the same as beer.LOL

So is the compressor just what it is, no way to clean out the junk that might be trapped in it?

Great....

Been working on the truck all day. I have hard shifts through all the gears, but no blinking OD light. Funny thing is, I had an issue with the Trans a year ago to the date. The issue just fixed itself too, I hate off and on problems. If your gonna break, JUST BREAK

System is flushed!!!!

It's was pretty gunky in there. How much oil do I add back in, I didn't flush out as much as I thought I was gonna.

I ordered new hoses, flushed the evap and condenser.

Not sure how to add oil and spin it, so just gonna leave the Compressor alone and hope for the best

Note I didn't start with a super clean bucket, so picture is just what it is

Also left the evap and condenser in place, wasted hour or so trying to take it out, got pissed and said F it
