my woman is excited for this too, well she shows excitment, but i know in her head, shes rolling her eyes.

They always do that until it's their turn to use it. Then you're a genius. :)

But of course, she knew that all along. She was rolling her eyes about something else.....

Very cool project. I've always wanted a 6 door. I don't think this will be that bad. Have you ever clipped a wrecked car?

Id cut the top and bottom door openings on both cabs to almost size. Id leave the roofs long and trim them up once you get them pretty close. I like the idea of cutting out the floor and dealing with it last. Atleast cut out the center of the floor that will hit the frame.

Looking forward to seeing this.

the roof and the floor are the same concept.
the doors and the body line are the most important parts
as long as the doors open, close, and have close to the factory gap, the roof and floor can be...
beat to fit, and painted to hide.
if i leave the roof on, the overlap will be more of a pain than anything.
only the rear portion of the roof will need work..
this will be my 5'th vhicle that iv don extnsiv bidy modifications on.
it should turn out pretty good!

Do you know how much work suicide doors will be? Not to mention the cost of the proper latches!
Maybe later in life. But not now.
If that ever gets done, I will eliminate the post.
That's the only way to do it.
This round will soley be to add another set of doors.
Nothing too fancy. Just functionality.
I have 4 months to get this rig done. Painted and ready for my newborns.

Well today is a wash. Literally! No 3 phase power in my shop, so no work.
Spent the morning getting soaked and getting the cab off the f350 frame.
Now it's ready for some bracing and getting chopped up.

You must be registered for see images attach
use latches off a super. Cab with suicde doors

she can barley see over the dashes of my trucks.
shes got her own new car, and as soon as this personal loan i have is paid off, im going to buy her a ford flex.
my rigs are MINE! i know im selfish.

she was proly rolling her eyes at my automobile addiction. she laughed at me when i brought my 5th boat home lol

ironworker, those will work, but are they designed for the weight of the full sized door?

IDI Van maybe...LOL

less work more usuability and hey...no cool factor..

Want better steering radius, make a rear axle with some king pin knuckles and make it 4 wheel steer... You could have a separate electric/hydraulic pump setup with an auto center function and make it rear steer with momentary switches...imagine that .....crab down the road and or cut turning radius way down..

That would be f'n awesome! Way out of my price range at the moment.
I've been lookin at vans.
But If I go that route, it will be a DIY.
And 4 wd. Any van with a diesel gets cool points in my book!
But yea once I get it done and painted it will have that cool factor!
But I won't be painting it until spring, so I expect lots of laughs at first!
But only from people that don't know jack :)

im not a ford guy.
IM A FORD TRUCK MAN.
theres no other truck in its class!
i grew up in my pops ole 71 F250, ive always loved that truck. and i have it still today.
my first "car" was a 1960 ranchero.
when it comes to getting down the 1/4 mile faster than 12 seconds, i choose pontiacs.
but, the fireturd was a bad business decision gone wrong. lets just keep it at that.
as far as cars goes, i prefer being in a pre 1970 muscle car or a pre war hotrod :)

This is actually fairly easy.dont cut the floor out.when you pull the carpets out you will see where the factory cut the back section of the floor on a regular cab and grafted a rear section of cab wuth the firewall cut off.youll have to splice the rockers, biggest pita us gonna be the roof without warping it to hell.

The Quigley vans are the ****, they are pricey but pretty awesome if you got a big crew.

i see the factory seams on the floor, unfortunately, the seams are in the worst place. right in the middle of the bench seat mount. i am going to cut the floor out of the donar CC piece. it will make it easier to mount this section on my truck.

welding in the roof will be a pita, i am gonna scour the junkyards in the morning. mabe buy a roof off a van. then no cuts across the top will make this application much much easier.

these roofs dont have much bracing to them.
