6.5 recall?? ever

Heard from a used car dealer about how 6.5 gm diesels have been replaced years ago.
I'm wondering was there ever a recall??
The folks are selling their 97 K2500 with 6.5, 165000 no blow by.
He couldn't believe that it had never been replaced. Unless it was replaced before they had it, they got in 2005.

Never was a recall on any 6.5, just alot of warrenty work on injection pumps and some bad torque specs on the heads from the factory causing blown headgaskets. Alot of engines replaced with very low mileage were due to coolant in the oil.

Longevity of the bottom end was hit or miss, alot of trucks got converted to 350 or 454's due to repeated IP problems but the bottom end was fine. Some blocks cracked out as early as 100K miles while some are still chugging with over 300K miles.
