04 3500 6 speed prospect buy

Hi all,
It's a long box extended cab. I wonder if someone would pipe in with opinions on what are the problem areas with the 04's?
I'm thinking of going to the dark side from my 94 7.3 IDI. Tired of working on it. Every time I think that's it for repairs, something else comes up.
All opinions are welcome, please!

I don't think there is much that goes wrong with these trucks, although I would look at any bulletins that might have come out during that period for warranty repairs. But the good thing about these common rail motors is that the power is easily accessible just with the electronics that are available. I like them, even though I prefer working vehicles to be easily field serviced if you have to. It's just like hopping up a Duramax, just with six cylinders and the same crazy results. I hope you are going to put a real clutch behind that thing cuz the torque is going to rip it up.
