And why are you removing the roof panel? Is this needed to make a 6 door?
this is the way I chose to do it.
a better man could have made 2 cuts and got it perfect.
but I would rather take the roof off, get the cab glued together, then put the roof back on.
on my 87, I cut right above the drip rail, but I still had to weld it completely, and seal it.
the SD style is going to be much nicer to work with.
the only exposed weld is the cut I make to pair the 2 roofs together.
I will simply spot weld the roof back into place.
grind it, seam seal it, and install the weather seal.
many many ways to skin a cat, but in my mind, this is the best way.
getting all those metal pieces to fit, in the right place is not going to be a easy task.
and with the roof removed, it makes it that much easier.
