best performance chip for the money??

X2. I went with Diesel Innovations, after I did the intake and exhaust. They gave me a pretty good deal, and I'm pretty happy with the chip.

    87 F250 for sale

I added a pic; I apologize, I've been sick for over a week now. I got my girlfriend to get as good a pic as she could of the passenger side. I'll see if I can go out hopefully tomorrow, fire it up, pull it out some, and get more pics.

    87 F250 for sale

I'd like $1500 or best offer. I'll try to list the good and the bad, if I miss something, feel free to ask. I'll list the good. Runs fine, smokes a little, has the ATS 088 turbo setup, T19, clutch a little over a year old. Front U-joints and Warn Premium hubs last year, "new" used radiator...

Any advantage on newer HPOP and turbo?

My 97 was about a dog stock, and my IDI would have run circles around it. I haven't done much to the PSD; downpipe, exhaust, intake and a 6 position chip, and it'll eat my IDI for breakfast already. I can't wait to get the cash together for more "intensive" upgrades. I still have the IDI, I...

    well, pulled the truck today.....

Nothing to laugh at there; that was a good run, makes you wonder how far it would have gone if there wasn't a parts breakage.

    Max egts after turbo???

OH man, good catch. I always use em, so I forget to mention it (been there).
  9. JesterPgh

    Max egts after turbo???

No. With the drill bit coated in grease, it will catch and hold the shavings. With the engine running, it will push towards the path of least resistance; the hole you just drilled. Then coat the tap in grease so it can hold the shavings as well, tap the hole, and you'll be good to go. Leave...

    Max egts after turbo???

Why undo anything? Coat a drill bit in grease, start the truck, drill the hole. Coat the tap in grease, tap the hole, shut the truck off, install probe, done.

    trade idi for psd??

Cheapest I've seen were remans, and they're $700 with your cores up front. I'll pm you a link if you want it.

    trade idi for psd??

My last title transfer, plate and notary fee was $372.00. I've been contemplating selling my 6.9 truck, but I'm worried that as soon as I do, I'll need to buy parts for my PSD, which of course, would take all the money from the sale of the IDI.

    let me see youre duallys

That's a good looking truck there. I can't see how anyone would find that truck to be gay.

    let me see youre duallys

I, so far, love my dually. It's not an IDI though, but it is the OBS. Hopefully getting the body straight and painted come springtime. Speaking of springs, I think I have too many. Here's before I got the bed on:

got the dually back gonna sell it need options on prices

I'd say, depending on the market in your area, you'd sell it outright fast at $1200. How many miles?

    IDIs are missed

Ya know, I contemplated putting a for sale sign on the 6.9 truck when I bought my PSD. I couldn't bring myself to do it. It's simple, does everything I ask of it, and hasn't let me down since I bought it. It's got 360,xxx miles on the clock now, and shows no signs of stopping. I think it's...

    6.9 VS 460

I dunno exact measurements, but they're dimensionally similar enough that if there's room for the 460, you'll fit the 6.9. M715 surely has enough room too. Good luck, post pics when you get the chance.

    Flat bed fuel tank issue

How low is your bed? You don't need that much drop. I just installed a flatbed on my 97, and I put fuel in for the first time...needed to hold down on the filler towards the frame to make it work. I'm going to fab a bracket to hold it in that position, since I don't want to hold the filler...

    93 Lincoln Mk VIII $1000/obo

Mark VIII, 4.6 DOHC V8, runs very well, transmission shifts very well, has "carriage top"; false convertible, and could use redone. Needs the passenger side mirror installed (included), some dings, needs exterior drivers door handle, overall not bad. R title previous to our owning, and we...

    front end question

Nah, you'll be fine. Wire wheel it clean, then if you feel so inclined, spread some bearing grease on the surfaces. I did that about 100k ago on mine. No issues to date.
  22. JesterPgh

    So I'm curious...

Mine's surely due for some servicing, but I can't complain. 360,000 miles and counting, but she sure makes some noise. It's definitely not quieter than my latest truck.

    New Pics of the Tractor

What I don't get, especially in PA, is that there are factory trucks with factory wheels (Chevy, maybe some Dodges? Can't recall exactly, but I've seen them, I swear it.) that the front tire sticks out of the fender well by design. How can they enforce a rule that has been broken by factory...

Is there any way to quiet my damn toolbox?

Go to tractor supply and buy a universal rubber bed mat, cut to fit, you can use adhesive if you like, especially if you do the walls, and go to town. The littlest things bouncing inside a piece of hollow aluminum will make a lot of noise.
