    Oil is good, scanned as far as looking for codes or more like a buzz test? I watch my IPR pres. on my monitor, it correlates with the dropping/surging RPM. That's what made me think possibly sensor?

    Buying a running 6.9, just the motor. Plans are to rebuild it, but that's down the road. I have an '88 7.3, and I'm wondering what parts swap between motors? Injectors, lines, manifolds, etc. Anyone know?

    That's what i was thinking, cause I have to disconnect the batteries to turn them off. Once I've disconnected the batteries and then reconnect them, the lights stay off like normal.

    CDR? Whats this? By oil coming from the valve covers, I meant I pulled the driver side valve cover cap, and at idle, there was a steady roll of "steam" that was oil. Just a lot of blowby, and while I have a tired engine, I didn't know if Rotella was adding to this effect.
