Thanks for the info guys... I really don't want to go manual as I don't want to have to get out to lock in the hubs, but really how big of a deal is that! So, I will do a little more checking out of the auto-hub situation, but if they are toast and I want to go manual, do I need the warn...
Great replies guys... Just what I was looking for. The truck starts, runs, and drives great and I haven't seen a loss in coolant so I will assume everything is OK for the time being. I also know there are several folks who run the "silver" additive to the coolant which can help stop the tiny...
About a year ago, unknown to me, my waterpump had started leaking and I ran low on coolant. Driving down the road one day I noticed the temp gauge was almost pegged. I pulled over and let the truck cool off, added some coolant and resumed (at this point I still hadn't found the source of the...
On my 94 F350 with factory auto-hubs when I shift into 4wd I get a slipping/grinding noise from the drivers side hub and it seems to not fully engage in 4wd. If the truck is unloaded and and on flat ground it will eventually kick in, but it seems as if its under a load it just slips and never...
Yes, powdercoat and POR, Rustbullet, Master Series, and the others all have the same problem...they are hard, become brittle, loose adhesion, and then trap moisture. Epoxy primer, then paint is the best option that you have.
As someone who owns a paintshop I will chime in...
There are a few things you need to know to help you in the process.
1. POR 15 is not a great solution, all it does is encapsulate the metal forming a protective barrier that will peel, crack, fail sometime down the road. Of the several...
What are a couple of the best ways to check head gaskets on our idi's? Normally I would do a compression check, but I don't have a gauge that will check that high of psi. I also know that I have a pinhole leak in the radiator so I don't think I can do a radiator cap pressure test??? Just...
If I removed the front clip is there any problem with pulling the engine and trans together as one unit. I will use the front end loader on the tractor to remove it so I am not worried about the weight, just the feasibility. Any tips/tricks that you want to recommend are appreciated as well...
Just a bump... I still haven't gotten this truck to the scrap yard, too many good parts and not enough time to get it scrapped during business hours. If you need a part off of here just let me know. Prices are still reasonable and the best way to get a hold of me is still by phone (although...

Sorry for the late replies, been traveling. If you want anything or have questions please call 573-682-4699. Again call if you have questions or need something. I will be scrapping the truck next Monday or Tuesday so I will need to know ASAP.
danman004 - fenders are rust free and in good...
OnDaRoad - I mean exactly that, and I mean I won't work for an hour under the dash to get you a $15 part. I am parting the vehicle out, but my time is worth money as well. I think everyone understands what I mean. I just wanted to ensure that someone didn't get upset when I said no to sending...
