I pulled that skinny "lawn mower bat" out of my van, bought a pr. Of 31c's, fully expecting to do lots of surgery to install the one. Surprise it shimmied right in there no cutting! Don't get me wrong, it's tight.....

Mine was driving a little different, but I was sure it was the TPS. Yea, the tach sensor fixed it.... Some consolation, there pretty easy to get at.

You can swap to the international water pump if you wish to eliminate the thread on fan clutch. It's otherwise the same.
Do your homework on coolant. Get the right stuff with SCA.

I replaced my original oversized starter with a Mitsu style and noted it has a slightly larger gear on the starter and an additional tooth as well. It was from DB electric.

I've got one that's been doing the same thing for years. I sometimes run 50/50. ATF/Diesel and the noise disappears. Figure it's the thicker fuel. Temp might be causing the coming and going. Is it quieter when cold? Fuel less viscous.

I hate to admit all the crap I've run in the last few years. I use a large pre-filter at the tank (FS1067 I think) and just decided to replace it with a NAPA gold 3417 so it doesn't hang down. (Well I guess that's a junk filter!) just stock style spin-on at the head. Guess I'll replace that...
Since your charging by weight, use r134 small cans and you may not need the gauges.. Convert to r134 while it's empty, nothing to it. When you pull the orifice tube you'll get a pretty good idea of what your up against, any particles are reaped there.

Most part stores sell breakers that will install in place of " normal" fuses. Also bolt on ckt.breakers are readily available. It just resets automatically after an overload condition.
