Do you guys know if someone sells a single mass flywheel that accepts the stock DMF 6 bolt pressure plate and 11" clutch? I just bought a SMF to replace my Lucky modded flywheel, but its for a larger clutch with an 8 bolt pressure plate.
I use the cim-tek spin-on filters, a 110v 13gpm transfer pump, a 55 gallon drum, and this tank heater http://www.jeffersequine.com/bucket-heater/camid/EQU/cp/AN-B1/
The heater helps vastly with the filtering speed and filter life. I removed the heat shield and it fits right into the 2" drum...
I have a 97 that I will be towing no more than 7000 lbs with. It is bone stock so is there no need for a pyro gauge? I was planning on at least doing a 3" downpipe with a 4" exhaust.
My 87 has a racor water separator in place of the stock one. I believe it needs a new filter. Should I replace the filter in it or just leave it out and let the main fuel filter do it all? For what its worth, I'm running prefiltered WMO through it as well.
Figured out the ignition switch on top of the column was just out of adjustment. Now I have only 8 volts at the orange wire when in the ON position, and my starter should stay off.
Right now it is reading 11.6v at the orange wire with the ignition in the ON position. I forgot to mention that this problem is intermittent and sometimes the truck will act normally.
When I turn the truck to the on position the starter cranks and will continue spinning while the truck is running. It looks like the orange wire that goes to the top of the starter solenoid has continuous 12v, causing this to happen. Is this a short somewhere or could it possibly be a bad...
http://slo.craigslist.org/cto/1863735034.html I dont know what kind of offer this kid is looking for but for all the parts on there it could be a good deal.
Thats a really good deal. I found a kit similar to that and having all the pre-bent pipes was really helpful. I was able to cut and weld the pipes into something that fit my truck and only had to buy a short piece of straight pipe from an exhaust shop. My truck has a much smaller intercooler...
My truck has the glow plug system hooked up to a button on my dash. Is there any reason I shouldn't keep holding the plugs on while I am turning over the truck? Do the trucks work like that from the factory with the plugs staying on while starting?
