Trying to figure out what this sensor is, blew the GP fuse and started smoking this morning while running.

Located directly behind my radiator piping on the passenger front of the motor.

Trying to figure out what this sensor is, blew the GP fuse and started smoking this morning while running.

Located directly behind my radiator piping on the passenger front of the motor.

Thermal switch for fast idle and timing solenoid on fuel pump.

Have seen enough of those fail to put a fuse near it, so that when they fail it takes out that fuse instead of burning the fuse links and losing power to the injection pump and being broke down. The earlier trucks all key on power to the engine goes through the same link.
