I don't have a wife yet..no SO either. My ex gf hated this truck, but many of my female friends like it and think it's cool. My mom likes it too but hates to ride long distances in it with me. In fact she flat out refuses to do this long trip to her family that I would like to do in the truck especially as there is a biodiesel co-op up there. In fairness to her, I have this bench seat and it is not the most ergonomic as you all know and she has arthritis in some joints which makes it important that she be comfortable so I don't really blame her. Everyone else in the family is afraid to drive my truck thanks to the drunk o matic power steering and the manual trans.

Ladys and trucks

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. My wife found both of my trucks for me in the classifieds. I would have never seen them if she didn't have an obsesion for surfing craigslist.

The only part she hates is that I take a perfectly good truck apart to modify it and it sits idle for months at a time. I promise her it will be better than before, but that doesn't sit well when they sit in the driveway waiting for parts. Then she kicks herself when I get a load of parts and spend every night for two weeks out in the garage working on what she calls, my "obsesion".

We just can't win, but most of us knew that when we got involved.

Well the current country girlfriend likes the truck. She likes the sound and how roomy the cab is. Doesn't like driving it tho. It's 21 feet long & the manual GP thing is too much. (she always forgets, then calls me when the truck won't start!:) The last two girlfriends goin way back were always jealous of the truck (City girls!!). When they would throw a fit about something or pm$, always me had the ol' IDI to keep out the drama.

Mine hates both of my trucks....She rode in the dually for the first time the other day when we went for our xmas tree - she had to "stradle the stick" as we had our 4 year old with us in the booster seat.....She complained the entire time...LOL....Too big, too loud and draws too much attention in traffic with all the nosie....She compared it to me while she rolls her eyes.:D:rotflmao....Nothing like the rumble of a big block with the mufflers dumping under the cab.

My ex-girlfriend liked my truck...sometimes she wanted to drive it and other times she was afraid. After one day when she was getting off the freeway and downshifted from 5th to 2nd at 50 mph  I decided she didn't need to be driving it anymore. I'm still amazed she didn't kill my engine, clutch, or tranny that day cookoo

FWIW my mom actively dislikes the truck...she'll ride in it only when she absolutely has to, and she spends most of that time making fun of the size (she insultingly calls it "Monstro"), complaining about the noise, or talking about how many fluffy bunnies I'm murdering every time I start the engine :D

As to my current g/f...she says she likes it, but she hasn't seen it in person yet

My Gf loves my truck, she is always asking when we can go ride in it, and she even wants to help me get her fixed up and put the gauges and GPs in :)

I guess i'm one of the Lucky Ones. My Girlfriend cut her teeth on her dad's '01 Dodge 2500, Extended Cab, Longbed, 2WD, Cummins, 5 SPEED (!!!). To look at her, you'd never guess she'd like driving a big 'ol truck like that.:sly When I started dating her, I was driving the '04 Ford F-250 in my signature, and she loved it! When I started driving the '96 Chevy, her level of happiness when riding with me went down considerably. Strike one was the fact that it's a Chevy, Strike two was that it has bucket seats. She prefers the bench seats, and so do I because she can sit close:D. Whenever we go out, I try to get the F-250, just for that reason.
Her first daily driver was her dad's '86 Ford Ranger 5 speed. Before she started college she bought herself a '97 Mercury Tracer, and she hates that thing because it's a little car with an automatic tranny.
I guess she does like one thing about my Chevy. Even though it's a 1 ton truck, she says it rides a lot nicer than both my dad's '04 F-250 and her dad's '01 dodge 2500.

Mine doesn't like to drive mine(thank goodness) and she isn't happy about the amount of $$ I spend on it, but REALLY likes the fact that she can take anything she wants and pack it in the trailer to go camping and not have to worry about the truck being able to tow it.

mine likes my truck for the most part. She has convinced me to keep it in times when I wanted to put a match to it, and then there are times when she spends 20 minutes complaining about the time I spend in the garage and the money I put into tools and the truck. She did ride for 10 hours down to towcats to help me pull a dash though. She is likely almost as crazy as me. We have words but all in all it works out. I **** her off, she keeps my ass in line (or tries at least).

Before she was my wife she was that hot country girl draggin main in her old mans pickup truck!!

Needless to say she prefers the trucks to her car and truth be told she wants a jeep to run around in but the gas and tires would bankrupt us with the miles she puts in!

Reading threads like this remind me how lucky I am...

yeah but once was to get a car, I was in a world of hot water for that little adventure. Then she found out I got that car so I could give her the running one I had just bought. It balanced out but I had a real, real, hard time keeping my mouth shut and not blowing the surprise.

She is a decent keeper, I will hang on to her for a long while. Oh and michelle can stay too :rotflmao LOL :rotflmao
