What a fresh 6.9 sounds like

Well this was the latest creation / revival to leave the shop.
This is diesellawnmans truck that he picked up for a sweet deal besides having a motor with some sever issues on top of cavitation.

The truck is in excellent condition with 134k on the odometer and was well worth spending the coin to drop in a fresh motor IMHO.

Thanks to Rob and just for ya bud, here's the clip we all have been waiting for.

I'm making him run it N/A for 3k and then will add my favorite Banks non gated turbo onto this bad boy.

John has been working the snot out of it already and sine I geared the 4" non muffled exhaust for the turbo install, he's been flicked off 3 times already and is lovin it!!!

Needless to say, I was a wee bit jealous of that truck given the condition, price paid for it and how it sounded. Now to get the turbo installed and see how she does then.

The sad thing is, the video doesn't really do it justice. Some of the quality gets lost in the recording and that deep rattle rattle gets lost.

I ended up dropping the remaned longblock that Rob sold to John and put a remaned IP on there. Stuffed in a 4" exhaust system as far close as I could from the y-pipe and got it all dialed in.

Thats how my old white 86 use to sound, when it was cold and the cold start advanced kicked on it had that really deep rattle to it
