Should there be oil in the wastegate actuator? It seems as though big red hasn't been up to par and after reading an article about wastegates that don't open fully, I thought I'd check mine. When I disconnected the hose from the actuator, what looked like old oil came out. Even more came out when I went to do the vacuum test. I looked in my factory manual and can't find anything except how to R&R the actuator. Something tells me there's probably not suppose to be oil in the actuator, but I thought I'd check with the experts.

LOL, no there shouldn't be.

It's probably just oil mist from the intake system that condensed and accumulated over the years. I'd pull off the actuator and dump it out. As long as the actuator diaphram doesn't leak I wouldn't worry too much.
