does any one know anything about this VM 3.OL engine. that I believe is the diesel engine for the new 1500 pickup.

The earlier production units seem to have problems with blowing engines. It may just be anomalies, but there are threads about rods out the side of the block, etc. They seem to get good fuel mileage though. They seem to be selling well!
