Hello I have a 86 chev 4 x 4 truck that has duel tanks. It is a 6.2. when I change tanks the fuel gage reads a little over a quarter of tank when full. The other day when I switched tanks the engine died but the fuel gage read full and I switched back it ran fine. To make a long story short I got a new fuel tank switch and put it in and when both tanks are full the gage reads a quarter of tank. Is there a ground wire somewhere for the switch. I know the fuel gage works because it went to full but the pump did not kick on when the old switch quit working. Thanks for any help
