I have a 1991 F250. What I cannot figure out is there is a light where the third brake light would be. I have owned a few of these and I have been told this is a cargo light but I cannot figure out how to turn it on.

It comes on with the dome light (when you open the door, or turn the headlight/dash lights knob to the detent). Assuming the bulb isn't burned out

If it doesn't come on when you open the door(and the interior lights come on), it's probably just burned out. New bulb and done.
