Gotcha, even if it is not plugged in? I just have it laying in there right now, not bolted up, just all the fuel lines connected. Don't really feel like going through the headache twice. I will wait and get it put together once the your part arrives. Not a biggie. Just bums me out sometimes. How many different set ups are there for FSV's? Can't wait to get the old truck back up. if you have it plumbed in, you should be able to run it anyway. Just throw the two bolts in to secure it in the meantime. when unplugged, the valve will remain in the open position allowing one tank to drain. there are four different valves, two specific to ford two are universal. the probelm with the inuversal ones, is that you can switch the tanks but the sender signal is lost since its a one wire setup.

I would if I needed the truck right now, but I have the Jeep and an wait for the other FSV. That is great advice though, if I ever get stuck. Thanks again TC. Scotty

Well, I got the new FSV installed this morning and and after about 10 seconds of cranking it fired right up. Can't really tell if it switching between tanks since both are full and the guages on the truck don't work. But so far it seems good. Thanks a million Towcat. You saved me some 100 and some bucks that can be put towards a new radiator and some little stuff to make the truck road ready. Gotta get her Road worthy for a 2500 mile tow to North Carolina. Anyhow, thanks guys. Owe you all one, and Scott (ApexTrans) I will box the other FSV up and send it your way. There is no rhyme or reason for the different models of FSV's but the second one Twocat sent me was exactly correct. Scotty

Hav you checked J C Whittney catalog? I bought a selector for my old chevy from them, had to do some wireing but it worked great. I thought the one I needed was around $40.00 for the kit.
