Anyone know how to replace the lock cylinder in teh steering column if you don't have a key? The steering column is out of a 97 but it's basically the same as my 92. I have teh thing loose and clamped up on mu drill press right now.
So far I've heard drill out the the center with a 5/16 bit, 1/2 bit 5/8 bit, well tried all those and kept going till there;s almost no walls left to the center cylinder and i STILL can't get the blamed thing to move

Any ideas here, pictures would be REALLY great.
Thanks------Robert

you don't need to drill it bigger , you need to drill it deeper almost all the way to the column to get all the tumblers out then turn it to the run position with a huge flat blade then press the little button and you can pull it out
