Picking up a bed

So I have gone back and forth on fixing the truck. Actually tried to do some body work and got nowhere fast. Almost impossible to get in there to pull dents out. If I had a welder I could do it fairly easily. Abtwyas I posted a craiglist add.

And I have a guy with a really good looking Red OBS bed. Said it was on the truck for 8 months before a flatbed was installed. Looks in real good condition. The passenger side fender looks good, so I could potentially gradt it in place on mine. He wants......$70 . Good ole rust free bed.

He also has a tan bed for sale, for $60 if anyone is interested. I'm trying to get him to seperate the tan beds air gate tailgate, otherwise that tan setup with airgate Is $110.

That red looks real close to my red too so I
might just run it like that for a while.

If I gotthe airgate I think inwoukd have it powdercoated.

Also got a package of ez-lok's for my waterpump. Google ez-lok's, I will tell ya how they do in the upcoming weeks.

Also bought mary's and my wedding rings (I got tungsten carbide, oh ya!)) and booked a cruise yesterday so I'm a happy camper!!!

Where at is the difference. From comparing his pictures to my bed they look the exact same. Only difference is a newer style brake light from what I see.

Tge price is right anyways.

Well I'm coming home with a bed regardless. He has a tan one thats my bodystyle.

Definatly seeing a difference in the wheel well area. All the other lines look correct though, right? What about rear light mounting?

Hell, I think I might just run with this bed for a while. Probably look a little crappy with different body lines and paint color, whatever though . Might even buy both, the tan one (right body style) to hack up, and the red one to run around with for a while

the only difference in the beds is the wheel wells, and if you look above your taillights, you will notice theres an extra body line on the 80-86 models.

The body line over the wheel wells are different.

Also the 80-86 beds are boxier above the tail lights and the 80-86 tailgate looks like ass on a 87-97 bed because of the boxier tail gate to match the boxier bed of the 86

one thing that would make it not noticeable would be a set of fender flares.
