well i thought the new year was gonna start off awesome sat i replaced my whole motor got a 93 n/a with a factory turbo kit added with a 3" downpipe well i love this setup but im a lil disappointed my buddys stock setup whistles wayy louder but as i figure heck its like a new truck with all this i get it up on the lift only to check it over and fine my pinion bearing is wore slap out i have a feeling its gonna need a set of gears thats how wore out it is so looks like this will be a year of my truck gettin more new parts ha ha i keep this up and itll be fully restored soon haha on another note im lookin for some turbo mods to see if i can get this thing a lil louder barely sounds like i have anything lol

It's funny how age (I am only 30) changes things. I want mine quieter the older I get.

I was thinking about that but I'm probably gonna replace the pump first!

Whistle can be caused by a few things. Maybe his impeller is damaged, maybe your air filter is more restrictive, maybe he has boost leaks.

Ever since I put a 4" intake on my turbo whistles better than the stock banks box by far! And when I left the filter off for a test ride around the neighborhood it really sang

i have a 4" intake, i was just curious how his was so much louder being stock and mine was quieter with mods. Heck for all i know my turbo could be the one with problems. thanks for the input guys!
