Oh crap thewespaul i meant 204 ona wheel dyno with the 3 inch exhaust. It now has 4 from down pipe. And finer pump tuning I was way rich too much smoke. I think I have it dialed in now after finding a blown intake to intake snail O ring. Still running rich

12 lbs and over 300? Got a dyno sheet for that?

Do you know anyone with a write up on proper timing from crank to cam and pump gear for r&d idi cam? The instructions were vague and just pretty much said to offset the marks whichever way it said

With 12 Lbs of boost, why did you run such decompressed pistons? You may have starting issues with 17:1.

Yeah, pretty much. I once ran an experimental set of "double-thickness" head gaskets(so another 1/16" or so). Man, that thing did not want to start without a ton of timing advance. It also had little power down low, until the boost kicked in, then it ran fine.

Also, it was the only IDI I've ever run that would not pop on ether. Glow plugs were the only way to get it started, even in the summer.
(the gasket ended up leaking after <2k miles, so it got stock gaskets again).

I shaved my pistons by 20 thou way back when I overhauled it. That was mainly to avoid any possible valve clearance issues since I knew my rebuilt heads had been shaved. I'm very interested to see how this turns out with such low compression. There is some common opinion here that IDI's shouldn't be decompressed by much, but at the same time, I don't know how many actually tried taking that much off.
