Member from long ago finally returning. I have a 2011 GMC 2500 HD SLT with the LML. From the total loss of my Silverado and a Focus ST I traded, this is what I decided to get. This will be my first diesel and what a better place to come to than oilburners.net for support, diag, FAQs, discussion and whatnot! I don't plan to do much to this truck as it will be my DD for a while but I want to learn as much as I can about this engine and perform proper maintenance and if I have issues how to resolve them. I've been pretty handy with my vehicles but I'm not afraid to go to a shop and let professionals do professional work, especially since I don't have access to a lift/air tools.

I look forward to being back and hope to make some good connections with the other members.

    Welcome back.
    Is it all stock?
A tune will sure wake it up and take away the pedal lag.

Yes stock for now. I would say most I would ever do is tune, intake, exhaust/ DEF/DPF delete. Also if I ever have to replace something I typically upgrade it, but like I said, I don't want to play with it too much as it is my DD and I want it to last.

Took the GMC to Ziebart and got the front windows tinted as well as the brow. Also got a Rhino-liner sprayed in and my old toolbox installed. Ordered some weathertech mud guards should get those in next week.[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Very nice. I like the quiet hiss, it's just a hint of what's there.

I should have kept that 11. Lol
Oh well. I'd like a L5P one day. But the LML are more than adequate.

So far no issues at all, lots of torque and I can sleep at night knowing that CP4 is gone. The hiss is honestly getting annoying to me. Sure its cool at first but early startups in the morning are very loud. Met a buddy with a Cummins with the 5" no muffler Jamo exhaust and he had a tune/switch to close/open the turbo vains and control the hiss at idle. Something I might be looking into. I know Fleece can tune it off but I would like the option to switch. Since the turbo is electronic I assume there must be several aftermarket switches out there for it. Anyone know of any for the LML?

Did you go with a DSP setup on your tune? Meaning can you change tunes via a switch? Or do you have to plug in your EFILive and load a tune?

If you have a DSP setup then fleece I believe can write your tunes like you’re wanting. If you don’t have DSP then you might enquirer about upgrading to it.

I do not have a device. Figured I would buy it later down the road when I get a lift pump and injectors. Will talk to them about a DSP setup at that point.

I gotcha. I didn’t realize you physically took the truck to fleece. They can right you a multi position tune and then flash it in.
