So everyone. I've got a 1985 f250 Idi and I recently swapped a Dana 60 kingpin from a 1989 f350 into the truck. I still have the stock 85 leaf springs and they are in good shape but I'm looking for a set of 35's under the truck so the front needs to come up a couple inches. My dilemma is that I can not for the life of me find a leveling kit for a 1985 f250 with leaf springs. I'm looking for a 2.5 inch without spending the money to get lifted leaf springs as I am 16 and on a tight budget. I have found 2.5 leveling kits for the 1999-2004 f250-350's with leaf springs and diesels for $200-300 and want to know if these will work with my truck? If not I'm lookin for a leveling kit that will. Any and all insight very appreciated

I think about the only way is a rsk or lift springs.
Now if you actually put the d60 springs in, you would already have what you need.

I just looked and most places sell f250 and f350 leaf springs for the 4wd as the same thing. Maybe they're dumb or there's something I don't know though

The d60 f350 springs will be taller than f250 springs.
At least that's the concensus here.

I think I found a little leveling kit thing. Think I'll just roll with it and see if it fits. If not that's what returns are for

They are. D60 swap an f250 and use the 350 springs, you need the taller blocks in the rear to level it. 250 springs are actually arched down in front. 350 springs are arched up. It's about 2" difference from one to the other.

what laserjock said. Also as silly as it sounds the F250 springs are a little stiffer because of the way the TTB works. so swapping to the correct springs will help with ride quality too.

Care to post a link to whatever it is that you found?

Factory F250 springs are NOT the same as factory F350 springs. The F250s ride 1-1/2" lower than the F350s, and in the front it's all in the springs. Therefore assuming you still have the rear of the truck about 2" higher than the front like how they left the factory, a pair of factory F350 front leaves will bring the nose up enough to make your truck sit level. And like Asmith said they will also make it ride somewhat nicer. You shouldn't need the taller F350 rear blocks if you only wanna keep your truck level, now if you want it to sit how the factory made them with the 2" rake then yes you want the rear blocks as well.

With aftermarket parts, it's anyone's guess as to what you actually get. Unless someone has already used that particular kit you're looking at, and can weigh in on what the results were, you're more or less flying blind there...

I just completed a Dana 60 front axle swap. See attached pic illustrating the 2" difference from F250 springs to F350 springs (spring code 43-516). I purchased factory replacement springs from Stengel Bros (near Allentown PA.) Springs were manufactured in USA! Cost was just shy of $400.00 delivered. I also have a 2.7" leveling kit installed on front axle and the rear is stock F350 (including factory blocks). The truck sits level and looks good with 35" BFG tires.

Actually bought the leveling kit 5 or so years ago and don't really recall the exact company. However I do remember having a difficult time finding a leveling kit for an 89 F350 (my old truck) and someone on this forum told me a Superduty 99 & up leveling kit will fit. So I bought one and sure enough it does! Google 2.7" superduty leveling kit. I just did a quick search and it appears "Thoroughbred Diesel" is selling a 2.7" kit, part number FLK1 for $149. with free shipping. Maybe you can find a better price?
