well we went to the pinelands in brown mills, new jersey to go 4 wheeling, there was about 15 scouts and 5 jeeps. my friend in the CJ5 tried a realllly deep mud hole and buried it, no where to winch off of, time to send the scout to save the jeep!

there was ALOT of tugging, that was the 5th or 6th tug, and i was going 2nd gear low range with lots of slack in the strap, we broke the first strap!

Right there at around 6-7 seconds in is a prime example of why straps should be used, and not logging chains like many redneck boys try to use...

10 4! I will only use a chain if I can maintain a steady pressure and not have to jerk the vehicle out....like a car stuck in mud and a truck on a gravel driveway.

On another note, that Scout looks like it's doin' just fine! lol. We need some more vids of it tearin' it up in the backwoods!!

Friggin nice...sounds and pulled it good

I have seen more then one truck totally destroyed by using a chain instead of a strap...you always want a "weak link" and a little give, and a logging chain just dont got it

Logging chains work fine for pulling out my dads truck, but when that's needed we use a case crawler or a hough 120 before it blew up, so there was no jerking just lifting the pos up.

Oh yeah, logging chains are my preferred weapon of choice as well, but I usually pull semi-disassembled vehicles on gravel and packed dirt surfaces - no snatching involved in that, just a steady low-speed pull.
