Injection,Fuel and Lift pumps 98 Dodge 24V

I recently installed a new injector and lift pump in my 1998 Dodge 24 Valve Cummins. I was told and have read that the OEM in tank fuel pump is garbage. If I install the VOSS fuel pump system does the Voss bypass the OEM in tank and lift pump. Do you have to remove the OEM in tank pump from the tank and if so what fills the hole.

I am new at diesel repair so please bare with me.

this article will explain everything, just to add that the intake pump/level sender unit can stay inplace however the pickup tube needs to be pulled from the pump so fuel can be picked up from the bottom of the tank, it wont pull thru the pump
