the fuel filter heater is just that,a fuel filter heater.it doesn't heat the fuel.it's far,far,too small for such an event.
what that does,is helps keep the fuel from gelling in the filter itself during the winter months for those in cold climates.
today though,the fuel stations get diesel fuel in according to the area cut more like kerosene than diesel here.
so anyway,the fuel filter heater isn't anything that will help you run wmo.not worth the $ to fix.
mine doesn't work either,and i did have my filter plug up on me one winter.however it was due to poor fuel (lots of water from the station) that had froze,and i never had an issue since then.
