We've recently purchased a travel trailer and started camping. For various reason, including pulling the camper (about 5K dry weight), I'd like to add an EGT gauge. I'm also wanting to add WI to the truck, mainly to keep the carbon deposits to a minimum since I like to burn waste oil in it, and I'd like to trigger the WI off the EGT. Never dealt with anything like this, and I have no idea what I'm getting into. Can I do both of these jobs with one probe? Where does the probe(s) need to be installed? Do I need to have some kind of fitting welded in, or is it just drill and tap?

Thanks for any advise/direction

Drill and tap the exhaust manifold near the rear of the sucker or between two ports on the manifold. Drivers side is as good as passenger's side. No clue how to include the WI with the pyro. Should have some instructions on how to do so with the WI kit (most have the option of EGT switch or Boost switch). If you are making a kit.......... not sure how you'd go from there. Someone may have done this before, and hopefully they will post soon.
